The Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence features a redoubt, underground bunkers, ammunition stores, cannons, a tank and even torpedoes. The museum occupies what was once Lei Yue Mun Fort, a 120-year-old military stronghold that saw battle during the Japanese Invasion of 1941. There's a permanent exhibition featuring 600 years of Hong Kong's Coastal Defence.
Open every day except Thursdays from 10am to 5pm, with free admission on Wednesdays. The museum is partly outdoors and requires walking, visitors are advised to wear appropriate clothes, take water and use sun block if necessary.
